Concord Mom Crystal Morrison Missing Two Years

CONCORD, NC – Friends and family say they aren’t giving up hope Crystal Morrison will be found alive. They rallied Saturday to mark the two year anniversary of her disappearance.

“For two years, this family has been going through heck, trying to figure out what happened to Crystal,” says her dad Rick Morrison. Morrison led a march Saturday, travelling the same path as his daughter on the day she disappeared.

“It’s very hard for me as a father to understand that a young lady, walking down this major intersection here, would absolutely just disappear off the face of the Earth,” Morrison says.

August 23, 2012, Morrison vanished after leaving work at Connexxions Recruiting in Concord. She was last seen around 12:45 p.m. near the intersection of International Drive and Davidson Highway.

The group passed out hundreds of flyers in hopes someone will remember something from that day. “As far as just giving us a solid lead, which we haven’t had in a long time. And so, we’re grasping for straws. Totally honest with you,” Morrison says.

Crystal’s friend Lacey Castro is again offering to give away her 1999 Lexus to anyone who can provide a clue that leads to Crystal by the end of the day Monday. “Someone knows something. I hope they see this and see the pain in my face. And I hope they come forward and do the right thing and just tell us where she is. Two years is too long,” Castro says.

While friends and family have been frustrated with progress in the case, Castro says they aren’t giving up hope. “I want to show people that we’re never going to go away. I personally am never going to stop until she’s home with us, until we have some answers,” she says.

Along with the Lexus offer, there is still a $1,000 reward for information leading to Crystal. Call Concord police at 704-920-5000.
