BELMONT, N.C. — Officials say a Belmont Abbey soccer player died after collapsing at practice. Β
Freshman Michael McGuire collapsed after practicing for approximately 20 minutes on August 16th. Β School officials say he died Friday. Β
Hospital officials have not released a cause of death at this time. Β The practice was being monitored by an athletic trainer and water was available for all players. Β
