You’ve seen and heard the name “ISIS” in the news for the group’s terror campaign intent on making an Islamic State of Iraq and Syria. So far, all the activity has been overseas, but now they’re naming cities in America… including Charlotte.
It happened over the weekend as Charlotte’s John Osborne, a Twitter user, was looking up ISIS tweets so he could report them. Many of the accounts are automated, and simply send out pre-programmed tweets. But this one was different. It actually referred to John by name, and after some back and forth, made references to SouthPark Mall and dying in a “suicide car-bomb.” Osborne turned it over to the FBI. But neither the feds nor CMPD say there’s any credible evidence of a threat at the mall.
So how concerned are you about an ISIS attack in Charlotte?
