CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Back to school time often means time to stock up on that anti-bacterial soap. The doctor is checking in with the tips to stay healthy during the school year, and avoid spreading germs when your little one gets sick.

Dr. Tony Hyser, of Providence Health Center, is breaking down the ways to tell if your kid should stay home from school.

He says they should definitely take a sick day if they have a fever of 101° F or higher.
