
CHARLOTTE, NC — Detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man who has robbed multiple convenient stores in the Charlotte area.
On August 27th at approximately 11:16 a.m., a suspect entered the Giant Penny Grocery Store at 3330 The Plaza, assaulted the clerk and took money from the register.
The suspect then reportedly fled the scene on foot.
He was described as a black male in early 20’s, between 5′ 10″- 6″ tall, medium build and was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and purple cap.
Police say this was the third robbery that involved the same male suspect.
Reports say on the morning of August 18th, a suspect entered The Plaza Express Mart at 6307 The Plaza Road and pretended to make a purchase, witnesses say he then assaulted the clerk and took money from the register.
On August 25th police linked the same suspect to a robbery at the 7-11 on Old Concord Road.
