On Friday, November 7 the friends of Ansanm Ministries will come together to celebrate the efforts of Ansanm Ministries and the group‘s work in Cange, Haiti. The Ansanm Gala and Silent Auction will be held at the Hendrick Motorsports Team Center. This event is the first of its kind for the organization. The funds raised will support the organization‘s mission of providing food (through a partnership with Stop Hunger Now) to Haitian students. To date, Ansanm has successfully shipped four 40-foot containers (each container holds 285,000 meals), which has served approximately 2,600 students at 14 area schools. Additionally, the Gala‘s net proceeds will be used to continue their efforts of introducing creative arts to the people of Cange. Learning a skill, such as art, can help (and has helped) the people produce something that in turn provides them with a source of income. A final area that will be assisted by the Gala‘s proceeds is Ansanm‘s “Student Sponsorships”. It is the organization‘s desire that each child be given the opportunity of an education. Though Student Sponsorships, families in the US can connect and monetarily support, a Haitian child‘s education. The Gala will feature the voices of the Josh Daniels Band, it will have a silent auction as well as a “Mission Moments” presentation and opportunities to participate in the Student Sponsorship program.
