LINCOLNTON, N.C. — Police say they arrested a Charlotte man for assaulting and kidnapping a woman he had been dating.
Detectives say Christopher Fore, 39, went to a woman’s home in Iron Station after he accused her of having another man at her home. Once he arrived at the house the woman asked him to leave. That’s when police say Fore broke into the home and assaulted the woman.
He then forced her into his vehicle and took her to his mother’s home in Charlotte. Police say Fore’s mother finally convinced him to take the woman to a local hospital for help.
Allegedly, Fore told the victim to tell hospital officials they were jumped outside a Walmart. Once Fore left the hospital, the woman told officials what really happened.
Police arrested Fore and charged him with breaking and entering, kidnapping with serious bodily harm, assault with serious injury, larceny and common law robbery.
