Employee Treated After Charlotte Kellogg’s Plant Fire

Β CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A fire that broke out at the Kellogg’s plant just before 6:30 p.m. Saturday started in the main machinary room and spread, fire investigators say.

It took 46 fire fighters 42 minutes to get the fire under control. Officials report seeing heavy smoke when they arrived at the plant.

The fire was raised to a 2nd alarm when the fire reached the roof. Employees evacuated the building and one was treated on scene from what appeared to be smoke inhalation. The employee is expected to be ok.Β 

What caused the fire is still under investigation.
