Man Driving On Wrong Side Of Road Charged After Fatal Crash

Β CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A man is charged after driving the wrong way on the road and crashing into a car that left one person dead.

Felipe Ogilvie, 51, entered the off ramp on Independence Boulevard to 6st Street causing several witnesses to swerve to avoid an accident.

Ogilvie in a Cadillac Escalade, crashed head on into a 2005 BMW with two passengers.

Bronson Burris, 37, was driving the BMW and was taken to CMC Main with serious injuries. Passenger of the BMW, 32-year-old Donald Web Jr was pronounced dead on scene.

Ogilvie was taken to CMC Main where he was charged with DWI, reckless driving, no operator license and traveling the wrong way on the street.Β 

Ogilvie was interviewed at LEC where he was charged with felony death by motor vehicle and felony serious injury by motor vehicle.Β 

Burris was cited for DWI at the hospital.Β
