CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The NFL turned to anti-domestic violence advocates to help draft a new policy surrounding domestic violence situations after Ray Rice’s controversial two-game suspension.

Now, newly release video shows the severity of the running back’s attack, leaving people asking, “Did the NFL know about this video from the start?”

Tony Porter, co-founder of A Call to Men, and contributor to the Player Engagement Department, helped write the new policy.

He says it is his understanding that the NFL only had the initial video of Rice dragging then-fiancee, Janay Palmer, out of the elevator when deciding his punishment.

Porter sheds light on where the real issue lies.
