CUPERTINO, C.A. β The moment Apple fans have been waiting for arrived this afternoon, as the new iPhone was revealed. In fact, two iPhones were announced; The 4.7″Β iPhone 6 and the 5.5″Β iPhone 6 Plus. Both retain a familiar look but with more rounded edges this time but they are now thinner and boast an extended battery life to their predecessors. They also have a new chip under the hood that is more efficient, allowing that longer battery life but also allows more calculations that aids with the phone’s health and fitness monitoring. It’s also 25% faster than before so games will be even more impressive, especially on the 6 Plus’ Retina HDΒ screen.

The new iPhones will be released on September 19th starting at $199 for the 16GBΒ iPhone 6, all the way up to $499 for the 128GBΒ 6 Plus, available in white, grey and gold.
Not too much was revealed about iOSΒ 8 but that will be available as a free upgrade from September 17th.
Another announcement was for Apple’s digital wallet; “Apple Pay”, which will allow you to pay for goods at over 22,000 stores with just your phone and is meant to be more secure than just using a regular credit card.
The final big announcement was for Apples entry into the smart watch market with the Apple Watch. The watch will communicate with your iPhone (it wont work without one) bringing you all kinds of information from health and fitness tracking to communications and remote control. The Apple Watch will be available “early next year”Β for $349 and will come in 2 sizes with 6 swappable straps and 3 finishes, including an 18-karat gold edition!
