Β WASHINGTON, D.C. —Β President Obama will meet with Congressional leaders Tuesday to lay out his strategy to defeat ISIS. Β He’ll tell his plan to the country on Wednesday. Β It includes air strikes already underway, and getting an Iraqi government in place. Β
Republican Congressman Robert Pittenger says he was disappointed in the President’s earlier comments that he had no strategy. Β “America needs to be strong,” he said, “and I am hopeful that what the President conveys will be a real plan that will take out ISIS, the greatest threat we’ve ever had in terms of national security.”
President Obama has reiterated the plan will not include boots on the ground. Β He expects fighting to involve focused counter-terrorism campaigns.
