CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Companies are cutting their endorsement deals with Ray Rice in wake of video that shows him hitting his now-wife inside an Atlantic City elevator.
His wife, Janay Rice, lashed out at the media on instagram. She posted, “To make us relive a moment in our lives that we regret everyday is a horrible thing.” “To take something away from the man I love that has worked his (rear end) off for all his life just to gain ratings is horrific.”
The message has many people wondering why she’s taking that stance. It’s a concept that’s hard to grasp unless you’ve been through it.
Domestic violence survivor Michelle Anderson and Mike Sexton of Mecklenburg’s Women’s Commission shed some light on the issue.
