CHARLOTTE, NC — As Ray Rice’s wife defends him on social media, there’s more fallout from that video showing Rice punching her in an elevator. Β Nike has now severed its endorsement deal with Rice, and EA Sports has pulled him from Madden NFL 15. Β The Baltimore Ravens fired Rice Monday. Β And the NFL suspended him indefinitely after TMZ posted video of the punch Monday. Β It happened in Atlantic City back in February.
Janay Rice lashed out at the media Tuesday on her Instagram account, saying, “To make us relive a moment in our lives that we regret everyday is a horrible thing.” Β She goes on to say, “To take something away from the man I love that has worked his (rear end) off for all his life just to gain ratings is horrific.” Β
Back in July after the first video went viral, Janay Rice apologized for her part in the incident. Β “I do deeply regret the role I played in the incident that night, but I can say that I am happy that we continue to work through it together,” she said.
