
Omaha, Neb. — Doctors at Nebraska Medical Center say Dr. Rick Sacra who is being treated for the Ebola virus continues to improve.
Dr. Sacra contracted Ebola while delivering babies in a hospital in Monrovia. Sacra was flown to Nebraska the morning of September 5.
Medical Director of the biocontainment unit at the Nebraska Medical Center said, “We’re pleased with his progress. His lab values are improving and he’s becoming more alert and interactive. We continue to be encouraged by what we’re seeing up to this point.”
According to a statement released from the Nebraska Medical Center, Dr. Sacra’s family members tell doctors they’re starting to see more of his personality emerge each day.
