CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A man was shot and taken to CMC with life threatening injuries just before 5:30 p.m. Sunday on Lakewood Avenue.
Police say the man was responsive and they believe he knew the shooter. The shooting happened in a resident yard but officials say the victim did not live at the home.
A witness said two men ran from the scene and the shooting appeared to be drug related.
Police are still investigating.
