911 Call Released After CMPD Officer Arrested

DAVIDSON, N.C. — Police have released the 911 call in reference to the arrest of a Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officer. Β 

Officials say CMPD Officer Hassan Peterson was arrested at 11:49PM Friday after an incident occurred at a residence on Summers Walk Boulevard.

Peterson was charged with assault on a female and communicating threats.

Peterson has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the internal investigation by the Internal Affairs Bureau.

34-year-old Peterson, a Matthews resident, is currently a Juvenile Crime Officer in the University City Division. He was previously a Community Coordinator for the same division and was hired by CMPD on July 25, 2001.Β 

Peterson is scheduled to appear in court on November 7.
