MECKLENBURG COUNTY: People living in Southeast Charlotte, Mint Hill, and Matthews are experiencing low water pressure. Charlotte Mecklenburg Utilities crews and Charlotte Fire Department have been searching for a source since Sunday afternoon. Officials suspect the problem could be an unidentified water main break or a water main valve issue. The affected area is about 1/4 of the Mecklenburg County service area — east of Monroe Rd, south of Sharon Amity and Old Concord Rd. Terrance Bates talks with CMUD Director Barry Gullet about the problems and when residents can expect water pressure restoration.
