HICKORY, N.C. — A jury found a local high school basketball coach not guilty on charges he sexually assaulted students.
Shawn Johnson was charged with statutory rape and taking indecent liberties with a minor. Officials say Johnson was a coach at Hickory High School.
The alleged incidents were said to have happened between 2002-2012. Johnson was found not guilty on nine total charges.
