UPDATE: Police say the victim has been identified as 44-year-old Michael Crawford. No arrests have been made at this time.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police say one man is dead after a home invasion on the 5700 block of Rupert Lane in east Charlotte.
Police responded to an initial call of a shooting just after 3 a.m. Wednesday. Investigators say two suspects broke into the home, had an altercation with a man inside the home and shot him.
The man was pronounced dead on scene by Medic.
Police are still investigating and say the victim’s name will be released after his family has been notified of his death. No word on any suspects.
