
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A car caught fire after a crash and left a woman dead on Brief Road at Blaydon road just before 6:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Inna Dimova, 23, was driving a 2005 Mazda when she lost control, crossed into the opposite lane, and was hit by a truck.
Driver Timothy Huntley and passenger, Dustin York were in a Ford F-450 when they crashed into the passenger side of Dimova. Huntley, 21 and York, 17, were not injured.
Dimova was pronounced dead on scene by Medic after the Mazda caught fire and burned. The road was closed and caused traffic delays in the Mint Hill area for several hours.
Investigators do not believe speed or alcohol were factors. The crash is still under investigation by the Major Crash Investigation Unit. Any witnesses are asked to call Kevin Allred at 704-432-2169.
