GASTONIA, N.C. — A family’s cat knocked over a candle that started a house fire at 410 North Modena St. at 4:30 a.m. Thursday.
It took 25 firefighters to extinguish the early morning fire. The home estimated at $75,000 was a total loss. No one was injured and the family was able to get supplemental housing.
The cat was not found.
