Medic arrived after the victim called police and treated him on scene.
The male suspect is described as around 20 years old, five-feet-eight-inches tall, 180 pounds with short dreadlocks.
The female suspect is described as around 30 years old, five-feet-four-inches tall, 110 pounds with blonde hair.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
CMPD reminds drivers to never pick up hitchhikers and to notify police rather than stopping to assist anyone.
