CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A man survived after he was underwater for at least 23 minutes at Freedom Park Saturday, officials say.
The man was pulled out of eight to ten feet of water by a dive team. Firefighters say the man regained a pulse after receiving 20 minutes of CPR.
Officials say the man fell off a bridge at the park but have not said how he fell in.
The man was taken to CMC Main and is in critical condition.
The man’s name has not been released.
