NEWTOWN, C.T. — Officials say Sandy Hook Elementary School has been evacuated after a bomb threat. Β The school was searched by police but nothing was found inside. Β
The threat was called in just after 9:30 a.m. Β The school was evacuated as a precaution. Β
This is the same school where 20-year-old Adam Lanza shot and killed 20 students and six staff members in December of 2012. Β Lanza committed suicide as police arrived on the scene. Β Β
