
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A construction worker has life-threatening injuries after a 20-foot fall at a South Charlotte construction site.
The worker fell around 8 a.m. at a mixed-use site going up at the corner of Barclay Downs and Morrison Boulevard near SouthPark.
Fifteen firefighters were able to rescue the man in 28 minutes using a crane. The man was able to talk to emergency workers via a translator, but suffered traumatic injuries, according to rescue crews.
MEDIC took the man, whose name hasn’t been released, to CMC Main. OSHA has been notified of the accident.
