LONDON (AP) β€” IAAF vice president Sebastian Coe says he has “big problems” with the track and field governing body including doping-tainted sprinter Justin Gatlin on the athlete of the year short list.

The American athlete has served a four-year doping ban, leading to Olympic discus champion Robert Harting asking to be removed from the 10-strong short list.

Asked about Gatlin’s inclusion on the IAAF list, Coe said Tuesday: “I think you’d be pretty surprised if I did sit here and was sanguine about that. I personally have big problems with that.”
