STANLEY, NC — In an update to a story first on WCCB News @ Ten Monday night, we’ve learned the specifics of the sex crime Robert Barnes was convicted of in 2000.
Court documents show the then 36-year-old used a personal massager on the private parts of a 3-year-old girl. This week, Barnes decorated his Stanley home for Halloween, and neighbors are concerned, saying that attracts kids.
Barnes is a registered sex offender, but is no longer on probation and is legally allowed to decorate.
