CHARLOTTE, NC–A car accident early Wednesday morning left one driver dead.
Police say after they recieved a call that a motorist had run off the road, officers arrived and found the driver, Barry McAlpin, deceased behind the wheel of a Buick Park Avenue.
Medics say McAlpin was not wearing his seat belt and escessive speed was not a contributing factor, alcohol and/or drugs have not yet been confirmed.
The accident was said to have occured on Mount Holly-Huntersville Road.
