The fourth-year quarterback says “it’s been our edge.” The Panthers have utilized the no-huddle offense on seven drives this season with six of those resulting in touchdowns, according to STATS.
EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) β A new court hearing has been set for Charlotte Hornets forward Jeffery Taylor, who’s charged in Michigan with domestic assault and other crimes. A hearing planned for yesterday in East Lansing was adjourned. The next date is Nov. 12.
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) β Jimmie Johnson is treating Charlotte as a must-win race. The alternative for the six-time Sprint Cup Series champion is leaving it all up to the chaotic, utterly unpredictable Talladega Superspeedway next week. Johnson is last in the 12-driver Chase field, with four getting knocked out after next weekend’s Talladega race.
UNDATED (AP) – Sam Hornish Jr. has signed with Richard Petty Motorsports for a full-time ride in 2015. The three-time IndyCar Series champion last completed a full NASCAR Sprint Cup season in 2010. He’ll replace Marcos Ambrose and drive the No. 9 Ford for RPM. Ambrose is leaving NASCAR at the end of the season and return to his native Australia.
