KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) β€” Kansas City tries to keep its surprising post-season mojo rolling tonight when the Royals host Baltimore in Game 3 of the ALCS. KC has won six in a row this post-season, including the opening two games in Baltimore.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) β€” The Giants and Cardinals set up camp in San Francisco for the next three games of the NLCS tied at a game apiece. Game 3 goes tomorrow night. St. Louis will start John Lackey who has claimed a win in each of his last three post-season series. San Francisco counters with Tim Hudson, who allowed a run in 7 1-3 innings against Washington in Game 2 of the NLDS.

ST. LOUIS (AP) β€” San Francisco rolls the NFL’s No. 2 ranked defense into St. Louis tonight to take on the Rams. The 3-2 49ers are looking for a win to keep pace with the surprising NFC West-leading Cardinals who are 4-1. Austin Davis has thrown for 300 yards in consecutive games for the 1-3 Rams in place of injured starter Sam Bradford.

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) β€” Montreal is looking to keep its early season run going when it visits Tampa Bay tonight in NHL action. The Canadiens have won all three of their games this season on the road, including the last two in shootouts.

PRETORIA, South Africa (AP) β€” Oscar Pistorius is a “broken man” after killing girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp, a psychologist called by the defense testified ahead of the Olympic runner’s sentencing for culpable homicide. The double amputee could receive anywhere from a suspended sentence and a fine to as many as 15 years in prison.
