A new way your loved ones can remember you after you’re gone: preserving your tattoos! A tattoo shop in Amsterdam will have the skin with your favorite tatts peeled off your body and sent for preservation. Their logic is that it’s an incredibly personal possession to pass on, even if it is kind of creepy. For legal puposes, it’s done to be part of a “museum project”, but the museum will “loan” the piece out to the family.
It might seem odd, but for some people, their tattoos are their prized possessions. But certainly not the only unusual items you might treasure. Like this guy who just posted to YouTube this week: he opened a 20-year-old box of Magic: The Gathering cards and found one of the rarest cards ever, an Alpha Black Lotus. Whatever that is, it’s worth about $30,000 in the nerd world.
Now that might be something you’d want to leave to someone you love. But who’s going to take care of your shoes after you’re gone? Or your Beanie Babies?
