Man on the Edge: Would You Fly on a Plane Scrubbed for Ebola?

This video is no longer available.

The second health care worker diagnosed with Ebola in Texas has been flown to Emory in Atlanta for treatment.  She’s one of about 70 people who treated the Liberian man who died in Dallas.  But before health officials flew her to Dallas, she did some flying of her own.  And that plane has now been sanitized, so… it’s cool to ride in that plane, right?

The woman, Amber Vinson, had drawn blood and dealt with other bodily fluids from Thomas Duncan, and somehow was exposed to the virus.  Then she flew to Cleveland, Ohio on Sunday, taking Frontier Airlines flight 1142 up, then flight 1143 back on Monday, shortly before she started showing symptoms.

The CDC says that trip was a mistake: the flight 1143 plane was grounded, then scrubbed to CDC specifications.  The same CDC that is inspiring oh so much confidence.  They’re trying to contact all the passengers on that flight, but what about the next group to use that plane?

Rance Adams hit the streets a little earlier, asking if you’d be comfortable flying on a plane that had been scrubbed after exposure to Ebola?
