POLKTON, NC– A North Carolina inmate has been charged with attempted first degree murder of a administrator at Lanesboro Correctional Institution.
Inmate Thomas Michael Accardi, has been charged with Attempted First Degree Murder and one count of Assault with a Deadly Weapon with intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury.
The assault on administrator David Mitchell happened on October 10th. Accardi has been placed under a $500,000 secured bond.
Accardi was moved to Polk Correctional Institution and placed under High Security Maximum Control.
