CHARLOTTE, NC — An iconic east Charlote landmark is now a pile of rubble. Toyota City sat at the intersection of East Independence and Margaret Wallace Road for 42 years.
Crews have now demolished it to make room for the largest Honda dealership in the city, and the third largest in the state. This is the latest effort to revitalize U.S. 74.
The new facility is scheduled to open next summer.
