Charlotte Man Accused Of Killing Girlfriend Dies After Going Into Cardiac Arrest At Jail

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police say the man accused of killing his girlfriend last week in north Charlotte has died.  

Detectives say 55-year-old Paul Williams was at the Mecklenburg County Jail when he went into cardiac arrest.  He later died at a local hospital.  

Williams is accused of shooting Jestine Clyburn on Echo Glen Road in the Hidden Valley neighborhood on October 15th.
