Davidson’s Quarterback Arrested After On-Campus Fight

DAVIDSON, N.C. — Officials say the starting quarterback for Davidson’s football team was arrested early Sunday morning. Β 

A school spokesperson says John Phillip ‘JP’ Douglas was arrested and charged with assault. Β Douglas was released from jail on a $5,000 bond. Β 

He is accused of fighting with another student in their on-campus apartment. Β The student had to receive medical treatment from the injuries he received during the fight. Β 

Police also found two knives inside the apartment. Β Douglas has been suspended from the team until further notice. Β
