SHELBY, NC — Peace of mind for neighbors in Cleveland County. An escaped prison inmate is back behind bars.
Hoyle Mincey was on the run from the Wateree Correction Institution in Sumter, South Carolina for a week. Cleveland County deputies found him in the Belowood neighborhood Wednesday. Above is video of their search Saturday.
Investigators believe he was trying to get to relatives who live in the area.
