ALEXANDER COUNTY, N.C. — Police arrested three teens for allegedly stealing metal roofing from an unoccupied residence.
Investigators say an alert citizen called police after they saw the teens leaving a home on Jay Stafford Lane. Once officers stopped the vehicle, they noticed metal roofing in the bed of the truck.
Investigators determined the roofing was the same roofing missing from the residence.
Seventeen-year-old Jacob Thomas, 17-year-old William Sherrick and 19-year-old Malcolm Stewart were each charged with three counts of felony breaking and entering and three counts of felony larceny.
