PARIS (AP) β Despite their poor results at the Paris Masters, France captain Arnaud Clement is sticking with his regular players for the Davis Cup final against Switzerland.
Clement has picked four players β Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Richard Gasquet, Gael Monfils and Gilles Simon β for a training camp in Bordeaux next week ahead of the final from Nov. 21-23 in the northern city of Lille. He can still make changes to the team ahead of the final.
No French player advanced past the third round in Paris but Clement said he is not worried because they were still able to “play good matches, and that was a good thing.”
France picked indoor clay for the final in a bid to thwart Roger Federer’s quest for a first win in the team competition.
France is bidding for a 10th Davis Cup title.
