WASHINGTON (AP) β Michelle Obama has joined forces with the “Penguins of Madagascar.”
In a new video, the first lady sends the computer-animated stars of the upcoming DreamWorks movie on a top-secret mission to help promote people who she says inspire her daily. They are U.S. troops, veterans and their families.
Mrs. Obama did the video for an organization called “Got Your Six” that’s working to dispel misconceptions about veterans.
“Got your six” is a military saying that means “I have your back.”
In 2011, the first lady helped launch a nationwide effort called “Joining Forces” to rally Americans to support service members, veterans and their families.
Mrs. Obama did the video for the “Joining Forces” campaign and in observance of Veterans Day next Tuesday.
“Penguins of Madagascar” arrives in theaters Nov. 26.
