NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Titans tight end Delanie Walker is following up the best season of his career with an even better start this year. Now the veteran is multi-tasking as well.
The Titans placed their second tight end on injured reserve Wednesday in the past three weeks, leaving Walker as the only player tight end who has played each game.
Walker says he’s actually coaching some now as well, helping out new teammates with questions along with blocking and catching passes. Walker ranks fifth in the NFL with 475 yards receiving attracting more defensive attention with each week.
Coach Ken Whisenhunt says Walker has been doing a great job with the Titans needing to be better offensively to get more plays for everyone.
The Titans (2-6) visit Baltimore (5-4) on Sunday.
