CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police have shut down a popular road in east Charlotte that will cause major traffic issues Friday and possibly Saturday.Β
A tractor trailer truck knocked down power lines at the intersection of East Sugar Creek Road and The Plaza. Β This is along the detour for the Eastway bridge closure. Β
Officials say the intersection will be closed through rush hour Friday and possibly into Saturday. Β
