LINCOLNTON, NC — Dozens of animals scheduled to die Friday, have a second chance to go to a good home. Β
The Lincoln County Animal Shelter extended Friday’s adoption deadline to Saturday afternoon for 19 dogs and 122 cats. Β After Saturday, the remaining animals will be euthanized to ease overcrowding.
“It breaks my heart that I can’t take them all home. Β I wish I could,” said Concord resident Sandra Flowers. Β “This will be my third, so I think I have to stop at this.”
The Lincoln County Animal Shelter is open from 11am to 4:30pm Saturday.
