LINCOLNTON, NC — Dozens of animals scheduled to die Friday, have a second chance to go to a good home.
The Lincoln County Animal Shelter extended Friday’s adoption deadline to Saturday afternoon for 19 dogs and 122 cats. After Saturday, the remaining animals will be euthanized to ease overcrowding.
“It breaks my heart that I can’t take them all home. I wish I could,” said Concord resident Sandra Flowers. “This will be my third, so I think I have to stop at this.”
The Lincoln County Animal Shelter is open from 11am to 4:30pm Saturday.
