CHARLOTTE, NC — Soldiers from Fort Bragg are on their way to west Africa to help with the Ebola outbreak.  It comes as we learn more about an SIM missionary being closely monitored here in Charlotte for signs of Ebola.

Dr. John Frankhauser recently returned from Liberia.  He is under quarantine in an RV park behind SIM’s campus in southwest Charlotte for the next two weeks.  Frankhauser is not showing any symptoms, but had contact with a person in Liberia who later developed Ebola.

“The sacrifices he is making and the courage that he has in that sacrifice is a great example to all of us, and it is also a great encouragement to the Liberians,” said SIM Medical Director Paul Hudson.

Frankhauser has to report his temperature twice a day.  He has to get permission before leaving the county.
