New Effort to House Homeless Veterans in Charlotte

 CHARLOTTE, NC — On this Veterans Day, a new commitment to help house our heroes in Charlotte.  There are more than 200 homeless veterans in Mecklenburg County.  The City of Charlotte, the county and the Department of Veterans Affairs are joining forces to find them homes.

“If it didn’t take the community of Charlotte to come together, with multiple organizations with initiatives like Housing Our Heroes, I don’t know where I’d be.  But I know I wouldn’t he in a house; I wouldn’t have a job like I have today,” said Tommy Rieman, U.S. Army (Ret.).
