METAIRIE, La. (AP) — The New Orleans Saints have placed receiver Joseph Morgan back on the active roster, ending his two-game suspension for an unspecified violation of team rules.
New Orleans has also made several other roster moves, including Wednesday’s decision to place rookie safety Vinnie Sunseri on injured reserve. Saints coach Sean Payton says Sunseri fractured his forearm late in Sunday’s loss to San Francisco. He was playing primarily on special teams before his injury.
The Saints have signed former Cincinnati running back Brian Leonard and safety Jamarca Sanford, while cutting reserve center Eric Olsen.
Leonard played seven NFL seasons, including 16 games last season for Tampa Bay, and in 53 games with the Bengals — New Orleans’ opponent Sunday — from 2010 to 2013.
