Catch and run: Packers’ Lacy doing damage on pass

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — Running back Eddie Lacy is denting defenses again for the Green Bay Packers. He’s doing it through the air more than on the ground of late.

Last week, Lacy turned a screen pass into a 56-yard touchdown, one of six scores for the Packers in the first half in a 55-14 rout of the Chicago Bears.

Lacy had eight catches for 123 yards, including a 67-yard gain in his previous game.

He’s yet another weapon for quarterback Aaron Rodgers in the Packers’ potent offense. The screen could be a good option Sunday against Philadelphia’s aggressive defense.

Lacy’s rushing attempts are down from his impressive rookie season in 2013. He said he doesn’t care how he gets his yards so long as he makes the most of his opportunities.
