
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A 16-year-old student has been arrested for starting a fire at Phillip O. Berry High School. Police say Robert Crosby started the fire at the school.
The alarms sounded and the school was evacuated. Fire officials say the sprinkler system extinguished the fire before firefighters arrived on the scene.
Damage estimates were set at $1,000. Crosby has been charged with burning of an educational facility. No injuries were reported.
