CHARLOTTE, NC — Charlotte Hornet player P.J. Hairston no longer faces assault charges. The Durham District Attorney dismissed the charges Thursday at the victim’s request.
Hairston was accused of punching a high school basketball player during a pick-up game at a Durham YMCA over the summer. Both men claimed the other threw the first punch.
